Yes & no. If you are purchasing the frame with prescription lenses, prescription will be required. If you are purchasing just the frame with neutral lenses, prescription is not required. Our shop is able to do an eye test for you and then process the pair of prescription glasses accordingly.

Absolutely. Please visit our shop and bring along your existing pair of glasses with the lenses so we check the degree and make a new set of lenses. Alternatively, we also accept other forms of record of the degree, such as doctor’s prescription. *There may be circumstances where we are unable to check the degree due to scratches or damaged coating on the lenses.
Yes. Our lenses range from thin and light 1.56 Index Aspheric Lenses to Ultra High Index 1.74 Aspheric Lenses.
It depends. Generally, there is no additional fee regardless of astigmatism or degree for standard lenses. However, prestigious lens labels have additional fees for astigmatism correction or that your astigmatism correction is unusually high.
Yes. All lenses at Sin Chew Optics come with UV protection which can reduce over 99% of UV rays reaching the eyes.
Yes. However, there is a processing time up to 14 working days as polarized lenses are manufactured and edged in France. *Polarized lenses cannot be used for half-rim or rimless frames.

Yes. Neutral power or plano (+0.00) lenses will be used. These lenses also come with UV protection. You may also choose PC (Blue Shield)/Computer lenses with neutral power.

Yes. At Sin Chew Optics, we do not charge you extra for using your own frame, we do advise this is done at your own risk and you will be asked to sign a small disclaimer, saying you understand this to be the case. If the frame has too many obvious signs of extreme wear and deterioration or any cracks in it, we will advise against this and in some cases we will not accept the frame for reglaze. In the vast majority of cases we are happy to change the lenses for you, at your own risk.
You are most welcome. We accept reservations of limited edition or collaboration products. However, as such items usually come in limited qualities, we apologise if we are unable to accept your reservations.
Yes, you can. We know nobody wants discomfort or blurred vision. So within the first 60 days, if you experience discomfort or if you feel the degree is not suitable for you, please inform us and we will gladly change them for you.
Unfortunately, no. The warranty from various lens manufacturers does not cover scratched lens.
Yes, it is possible. Please contact us or speak directly to us at the shop. We will offer you the most suitable lenses based on your degree. Do note that there may be occasions when we cannot meet your required lens thickness due to your degree and the size/shape of the frames.
The change in your vision could be due to the shape and the fitting of the frames. *If you are not comfortable with your vision, please visit our shop so we could confirm your degree and adjust the frames and the fitting accordingly. Kindly bring your glasses to our shop within the warranty period.

We are unable to repair or remove scratches on lenses. However, we may be able to change the lenses depending on the condition of the frames.
We are happy to adjust the fitting of your frames for free. *This service may not be available for some frames due to constraints in the frame condition.
For all our customers, if you accidentally purchased and received the wrong power or perhaps a few months down the road your eye power changes, we are happy to change the power of your contact lenses at no charge. *This service is only available to our customers who purchased the contact lenses from us.
